1. 本課程以時事議題為核心，經由外師精心設計一系列的交流活動，將帶給您全新的英語會話體驗。為了讓教學內容也就是每週討論主題，永遠是最新最夯的時事議題，因此，外師會提前1週將討論主題及有關的新聞或影音資訊提供予學員參考，讓您有時間了解時事背景。如果您對用英文討論時事有些猶豫，別擔心，課中外師將竭盡所能的鼓勵並引導學員開口，形式可能為個別發表或小組討論，希望從零壓力的互動分享中學習英文，以下為外師帶領課程的5項主要流程：
   
   1)超強破冰術(用熱情暖場對話)
   2)討論時事(發燒全球議題)
   3)不失禮節又快狠準的輕鬆提問(懂得丟球是厲害)
   4)二次提問，如何問到對方心坎裡(懂得做球是王道)
   5)最重要的外師回饋校正慣用錯誤語法或延伸議題(每日總結)
   
   The course will consist of mostly interactive and communicative tasks. You will of course have the opportunity to interact with teacher personally on an individual basis; however, you will also spend a significant amount of time discussing things in pairs and small groups. If you are nervous about speaking out in front of the class, please do not worry, you will not be asked to do so unless you feel comfortable. While each week will focus on a different topic/theme, the speaking skills we practice will build upon the previous classes over the eight weeks. Classes will be run/taught in the following pattern:
   
   1st Warm-up Task/Ice-breaker: A topic will be put up for guided discussion to get us ready and thinking about the subject matter to be discussed that day.
   
   2nd Model: We will go over a brief video (and occasional article) which will be used for the starting point of the class discussion. These will be given at least a week prior to the lesson so that you may review them as much as you wish.This Model will be used for key vocabulary, speaking techniques, discourse strategies etc.
   
   3rd Comprehension work: You will be given some questions to ensure that you understand the gist of the Model video/article, which you will discuss with a partner or in small groups.
   
   4th Detailed Task: You will then be given some more specific detail oriented questions and go over the video/article once more.
   
   5th Follow up Discussion: After concluding the detailed tasks, we will move on to an expansion activity in which we can move away from the specific video/article at hand and relate the themes to ourselves and more general points of discussion.
   
   *Feedback: Group feedback will be given at every stage, and personal feedback will also be given regularly.
   **Material: You do not need to buy any material for this class. All articles and videos will be given via Line and/or email.
   ***Contact: there will be a Line group opened on the first day of class for you to chat amongst your peers and myself. This will also be a medium through which I can share interesting links relevant to our weekly topic.
   ****Slides: you will be provided with a copy of the slides after each class for you to review.
